Free Universal Education

New Zealand offers a mixture of private and public schools, Schooling is free at State (Government-funded) schools until the age of 17, with most New Zealand students attending state-funded schools. Parents are expected to meet minor expenses, such as the cost of school books, stationery and uniforms. Costs vary widely depending on individual school requirements.
