Few would disagree that for a developed country it's cheap and one, if not the most beautiful place on earth. Picking up a car to buy or hire is easy and the country hosts a perfect system of wonderful hostels. Outdoor activities are cheaper than Australia and there is a whole host of possibilities from oxygen assisted skydives to white-water rafting/surfing to the well known bungee jump.
